Cherimoya BIO — Custard Texture, Grown Without Shortcuts
Cherimoya BIO carries the same green, scaly, artichoke-like skin as the standard fruit, grown here without synthetic pesticides. What's inside is the reason people seek it out at all: creamy, custard-textured white flesh with a flavour that moves between banana, pineapple, strawberry, and mango, low enough in acidity that nothing sharp interrupts the sweetness. It arrives unripe and needs a few days at room temperature to soften, exactly like an avocado, and it ripens unevenly, starting near the stem — press gently in a few spots rather than just one. Ripe fruit gives slightly under thumb pressure without turning mushy, and the green skin often develops brown-black patches as it ripens, which is entirely normal and has no effect on the flesh underneath.

-
How to tell when it's ripe
Give it a few days at room temperature, out of the sun. It ripens unevenly, so press gently in several spots — ripe gives slightly, like a soft avocado, without feeling mushy.
-
How to cut & use Cherimoya
Halve lengthwise and scoop the flesh with a spoon, discarding the skin and the large black seeds. Great eaten plain, chilled, or blended into smoothies.

How to store Cherimoya
Unripe: room temperature, out of direct sun, a few days to soften. Ripe: refrigerate, use within 3-4 days. Cut fruit: airtight container, use the same day for best texture.
Halve it and scoop the creamy flesh with a spoon, discarding the black seeds as you go — chilled, it eats almost like a natural custard or sorbet.
A good source of vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin B6, with fibre that supports digestion — an indulgent-tasting fruit that's genuinely nutrient-dense too.
