Gold Kiwi — Everything the Green One Wasn't
If your only experience with kiwi is the fuzzy green kind, gold kiwi is worth a genuine reconsideration. The skin is smooth and nearly hairless, a warm bronze colour that peels away easily or, for many people, is soft enough to eat right along with the flesh, no peeling required. Inside, the vibrant yellow flesh has a smaller core and noticeably fewer seeds than green kiwi, with a flavour that trades tartness for tropical sweetness — people commonly describe notes of mango and strawberry. It's also nearly always ready to eat when you get it, softening and getting sweeter over just a few days if it arrives a touch firm. Ripe kiwi, gold or green, gives slightly to gentle pressure, the same test as a ripe peach.

-
How to tell it's ripe
Press gently — ripe gold kiwi gives slightly, the same test as a ripe peach. If it's still firm, leave it at room temperature for a few days; it'll soften and sweeten.
-
How to cut & use Gold Kiwi
Halve it and scoop with a spoon, or slice thin with the skin on — the fuzz-free skin means no peeling is strictly necessary.
-
How to store Gold Kiwi
Unripe: room temperature, a few days to soften. Ripe: refrigerate, use within 3-5 days. Cut fruit: airtight container, use within 1-2 days.
Halve it and scoop with a spoon, or eat it whole like an apple if you don't mind the skin — its smooth exterior makes both genuinely easy.
Exceptionally high in vitamin C — nearly twice as much as green kiwi — plus potassium and fibre, in a naturally sweet, low-effort package.
Extrem de dulci, coaja subtire si foarte putine seminte.
Foarte dulce și zemos. Recomand!
