  • How to Tell When Baby Zill Is Ripe

Ignore an early purple tint — that's not ripeness. Wait for a red blush over yellow, then press gently with a thumb: ripe gives slightly all over, with a sweet, faintly pineapple smell at the stem.

  • How to Cut & Use Baby Zill Mango

Its small size means you can often skip cutting boards entirely: peel with a paring knife or your fingers and eat it whole, or halve it around the tiny seed and scoop with a spoon.

  • How to Store Baby Zill Mango

Unripe: room temperature, out of direct sun, 2-3 days to ripen — smaller fruit ripens even faster than full-size Zill. Ripe: refrigerate, use within 3-4 days. Cut fruit: airtight container, use within 2 days.

How to Enjoy Baby Zill Mango

Once ripe, it's soft enough to eat like a plum — just bite in past the thin skin, no knife needed. Or halve it, twist to separate from the small seed, and scoop straight out with a spoon.

Rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, with a good dose of fiber — the tiny seed means an unusually high share of each fruit is edible flesh.
