How our story began

I’m Iulian, and the Tropical Fruit Paradise dream began in 2016 with a rented orchard, lots of hard work, and a huge desire to build something of my own. Split between the construction site and the orchard, I chose the fruits — and ever since, we’ve been turning our passion for nature into authentic exotic flavors.

From four bricks to Europe

Everything started in 2016 when I rented my first fruit farm. I took the first step alongside my brother-in-law, but I was also working in construction. Building foundations by day, and by night… trying to build a dream. After long hours on the construction site, I would go to the fruit farm, learn, experiment, and sell our fruits to local warehouses. It was the beginning of a wild adventure.

But, thinking about it, maybe my ambition for fruits started much earlier. When I was little, I sold watermelon to earn my school money and save up for the motorbike I wanted. Since then, I tasted independence and understood what it means to carve your own path. Business spirit ran in my blood—always ambitious and calculated, always looking for ways to invest and make money to fulfill my desires. I worked from a young age to get what I wanted, and that taught me a lot about work and perseverance.

Split between construction and the fruit farm, I wondered if it was really worth continuing to sell to local warehouses and pay others to do the work in the orchard. After all, no one works as hard for your dream as you do! So I made one of the toughest decisions of my life: I left construction—a well-paid job where I earned around €10,000 a month—for a business whose future was... uncertain. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I trusted myself and my dream.

The first “warehouse” was honestly a funny makeshift setup: four concrete blocks and an old tarp, a 1999 van barely reaching 90 km/h, and many mornings starting at 3 AM. We begged people to let us build pallets and load trucks, and even though the van wasn’t exactly a Ferrari, our passion made us feel like champions.

It wasn’t easy. We faced many closed doors, skepticism, and refusals. We heard many “no’s” to our faces, but we kept going because we knew that only through hard work and determination could we get far.

After three years of effort and perseverance, we finally earned the BIO certificate. It was a huge victory for us and an important step in growing the business.

We grow tropical and subtropical fruits

After a while, our first major clients appeared. They saw our potential and offered us a project for the German market. That was the turning point: we rented a larger warehouse with proper handling and shipping conditions. Their trust was the fuel that helped us grow and invest more. Each order kept getting bigger, so we rented more orchards, bought a truck, a forklift, and expanded the team.

As our business took root, we began sending fruits to friends and family in Romania, who, impressed by their quality and taste, shared them further. Our fruits reached more and more people, and demand grew significantly. Word about our products spread quickly, and people in Romania started asking us to send shipments more often. That’s how the idea of creating a special website came about—to meet this growing demand.

We know that in business, there’s always room for improvement.

We grow tropical and subtropical fruits with care and respect for nature. From the very beginning, we’ve focused on quality and honoring the land, and every fruit that leaves us reflects this attention.

Today, we look back proudly on the journey we’ve made and are happy to be here. Every fruit that leaves Tropical Fruit Paradise carries our story—a story of hard work, determination, and a touch of “crazy.” And who knows? Maybe our adventure is just beginning.
